Gillian Jacobs........................Jacobs was born in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Martina Magenau Jacobs, her mother was director of alumni relations at Heinz College for Carnegie Mellon University. She was raised by her father William F. Jacobs Jr. Lebanon. She has French German Irish Scottish and Scottish roots. She is of French German, Irish and Scottish descent. Her father John Martin Magenau Jr. was the President and CEO of the Jackson Koehler Eagle Brewery in Erie Pennsylvania which had been established in 1847. It was shut down in 1978. Jacobs went to the Pittsburgh Playhouse on Saturdays to enroll in acting classes. In the ages of 8, she began her acting studies. Mt. Jacobs and leaving Lebanon High School for New York City in 2000. In New York City, she became part of in the Drama Division of Group 33. She earned her bachelor's degree in 2004.
